Laser tag

Hey peoples. Today I'm gonna talk about a really cool birthday present I got. Here it goes.

I touched on this on my birthday blog but I am going to explain it more. So for my birthday my grandparents got this really awesome laser tag set by Nerf. It comes with 2 different guns and sleeves. A iPod or iPhone can fit in these sleeves and into the gun with different sleeves for each.

This is the iTouch one. The iPhone one is bigger.

Next you plug in a wire from the gun into the devices audio jack and launch a free app you can buy.

The app includes solo mode which is every man for himself and teams. After the countdown the game begins. When you first play you can change your pistol to a rapid fire gun with more ammo, so you don't have to pull the trigger with each shot, but it's not as powerful. You do this by holding the reload bar. Push a second trigger to commence a shield that lasts for 30 seconds depending on where you stop it so that you can't be shot but you cannot shoot them. You can see you're laser and explosion on the screen along while the camera views your surroundings while it also shows you your health amount, shields, gun, and ammo.

The game ends when only one man or team is left standing.

Single player you can play with the gun or without and is the same as multiplayer only you shoot aliens that show up on the screen. Eventually you earn points to spend in the armory to buy new guns and upgrades to use in multiplayer. I just bought a shotgun called the quad pulse and I'm working on a sniper rifle. It shoots far too with a good range gun. It counted when I shot Alex from across the entire backyard. You can play without a device too but it is harder and not as fun. That's why the odds were not evenly matched in Alex's and my laser tag battle today when the previous day he decided to throw his iTouch at me on a concrete floor. My face was like this.

So that's it. Pick it up today. Thanks! Bye.

  1. A free app you can buy? I'll have to check this out next time I come over. If it's good, I might have to get a couple of guns for me and Brynn. So did Alex break his iTouch then?

  2. I'm also wondering about buying a free app. Sounds like a scam to me! :)

Andrew would LOVE playing this with you.

Your reaction to Alex throwing his iPod looks a lot like how your dad probably reacted too. ;)
