Game review

Hey peoples. Today I'm gonna talk about a upcoming video game. Here it goes.

Watch this first:

Ok so I have been doing a lot of alien stuff lately so I decided to do this on Aliens: Colonial Marines. Comment with some blog ideas if you are tired of this craze. So the game takes place after Alien 3 on Hadley's hope because the explosion wasn't big enough?!? Bishop clearly said in Aliens the explosion would be big enough. Although an interview with the creator said that he would cover that plot hole and even ones in Alien 3. They are 3 play modes that I know of, escape, campaign, and multiplayer.

Apparently in escape you are 3 marines trying to escape or 3 aliens trying to kill the marines. A soldier, lurker, and a spitter. A soldier is like one from Aliens. A lurker looks like the original. The spitter is a acid shooting alien. The soldier alien is the one you normally see. The weapons range from pistols, the iconic pulse rifle, shotguns, smart rifles, flamethrowers and more.

A trailer for escape mode.

The alien to marine life span is 1:3 but the aliens respawn every time they die until all the marines are dead or they escape. From what I have seen there is a queen too but I doubt you can play her.

The queen in game.

There is also a variation of alien called a crusher which is like a muscular runner with bulletproof skin.

The makers said they would be other variations as well. One cool feature is there is nothing on the screen except for what you are seeing and a sight for your gun. You can pull up a radar thing while you aren't shooting to see the red dots which are aliens.

I'm hoping to preorder it at GameStop. I'm waiting till I get the Playstation for Christmas just in case though. If you preorder there you can play as Hicks, Apone, Hudson or Drake, get Ripley's flamethrower duct taped to a pulse rifle, and additional customization. No Vasquez though.

Sadly it looks like the alien is a bit different too. First of all in this picture it looks like the tail has a blade which didn't come in until Alien 3 although this does take place after these events these aliens should be the same ones seen in Aliens.

The tail in Alien

The tail from Aliens no blade just a barb.

Another thing is in this picture here it is pretty obvious that the spiked head support from the first 2 movies is missing.

Spiked head support Alien

Aliens

In the game it is not there.

The alien hand is right except for it has 2 thumbs on either side like the first movie unlike the long 1 thumb from the second movie.

In this pic it has 2 thumbs like the original but long fingers like the second.

When I was in the power loader at the Comic Con, which was an add for this game, then if the alien sculpt was accurate to the game then the feet were more like the ones from Alien Resurrection. Lastly, this hit me the hardest, the normal aliens walk all crazy! It is like they are on all fours! See this video.

How they move.

There is one really cool scene from it though. In the beginning somehow there's aliens aboard these two ships and your going into the other and eventually while you are fighting them the part connecting the two ships breaks with you inside. They also said you would be able to see inside the derelict ship which should be cool and even tying things in with Prometheus!

So comment and I hope you enjoyed. Bye!

Alien

Hey peoples. Today I'm gonna talk about the alien as I see it. Here it goes.

So If you are a huge Alien fan like me you know the that is much unknown about it. Especially if you think about what's introduced in the comic books too. So there's millions of theories and new ad-ons to the alien universe throughout the Internet and even comic books. So my mind is constantly raging around trying to see what fan lore fits best in my mind set about the alien.

One of my biggest problems is how most fans completely deny that there is a difference between an alien " drone " and an alien warrior. I fully embrace this idea as in my little mind it comforts me that the alien from the first movie and the alien from the second are not one and the same so I can see them coexist in my alien universe. This way I can have the awesome color differences, hands, and especially the head which concerns the skull face, the dome, and the more prominent ridges the aliens from Aliens have.

Probably my second biggest problem would be how an alien changes from host to host. Me, I have tied this in with the existence of the Alien King solving 2 problems. What I think is that if a there's a King to mate with a Queen, a King being just a warrior or drone moved up and evolved in the hive, then perhaps the facehuggers are stronger therefore not having to use some of the hosts DNA to create a embryo inside. I figure that it's much more likely that the facehugger tells the body to create the embryo with this DNA so the antibodies won't kill it and it's already in position then the facehugger cutting open the esophagus and navigating it's way through life giving organs to put it in the chest cavity only for it to die.

That also fits in with the movies. In Alien the eggs were aboard the derelict for the engineer's bio weapon as what became evident in Prometheus. If they wanted a bio weapon than they probably had the stronger facehuggers that didn't take DNA therefore the alien in the first movie being purebred. In the second we can assume that all queens are purebred so if there were human derived xenomorphs than a king simply hadn't evolved yet in the hive so that the aliens there were human derived xeno's. If the hive survived long enough for a king and had available hosts than the human ones would be drived out to make a new hive so one of them would evolve into a queen. I'm 90% sure that theory is fits with the rest of the movies too. We can assume that the aliens in Aliens look similar to purebred aliens because of Prometheus. If they created all these bio weapons to wipe out us. Then it's probable that some human or engineer DNA was used in creation. Therefore we would be afraid of it's human like appearance and it's monster like features.

Finally there is how the aliens look different movie to movie comic to comic. I think it's either their DNA is unstable, hence mutation of different generations. Or the engineers did that purposely. How scary would it be to have a almost unbeatable enemy already constantly changing and adapting to it's environment.

I would use the warrior from this movie for the purebred warrior as I like the ridges on the head but I would give it the missing head support from the first 2 movies, less muscle and more biochemical escoskeleton, and the tail would be the same as the first movie's with a blade instead of just a barb.

Phew that was a long post. Needed to get that out. If you have any questions please comment. Bye!

Aliens pics

Hello peoples. Here's another blog on Aliens. Here it goes.

Okay so as you know I am a huge fan of the Aliens series even though I've only seen the first half of their movies not including AVP everyone assures me it is the better half. So after the awesomeness of the first two movies and the sizable influence of all of the Kenner Aliens toys of all shapes and sizes. I have built up a sizable collection of some Aliens pics. These pictures are mostly concept art done by fans so they have the most variation. They range from ones like these.

To ones that still send tingles up my spine.

I in total have 414 aliens based photos. Wow. My geeky ness amazes me. Not all of them of course are different variations. Even though that's one of the things I look for to have fun.

Here are is some awesome Aliens art by Kevin Crossley.

Some of them are just fantastic art of original movie aliens and others so wild it's hard to call them a Xenomorph. So every blog I have decided to post a Aliens pic from my photo library. Including some Predators as well. If I were to post all of the pics in one post that would be no fun. After my collection grew to big amount I created a whole album dedicated to these pics. Sometimes for fun I just sit and put a slideshow on my iPad of the whole album.

This is some concept art for the predator's face before Predator.

So there's a little insight on all of the Aliens pics I wish they made action figures of. Feel free to comment and post one of you're favorite pics. Bye!

Hot Toys

Hi peoples. Today I'm gonna talk about a toy company. Here it goes.

Okay so one day I saw a picture of a really cool looking Alien figure on the Internet. I immediately went to its website below. It was a awesomely detailed, highly articulated Alien Warrior. I read the entire review by a really cool website called MWCtoys. Finally at the very end was some website listings where I could find them.

The alien I saw.

I read on feverishly until I came to the and it said... Prices range from 100 to 300 dollars. I almost threw my iPad in a fit of rage! I had come so close! I continued reading the many reviews on the website in a depressed stupor only to find that the same company named Hot Toys had made so many different Aliens and Predator toys. You can imagine how my obsessive brain felt by then.

A bunch of Aliens they made.

Luckily and unluckily for me they didn't make a Alien queen which would of sent me into shock. The closest I had ever came to that kind of quality was Neca toys who made around the same size but a lower price, lower paint, and lower details. I guess I'll just have to stick with them for now. However there is a Japanese company named Kayodo Revoltech that did make a Drone, Warrior, Queen, and Predator with around the same quality with prices around 100. Kenner made a lot of Aliens, Predators, and Space marines but they were for younger kids and were crazy variations of the Alien with a action feature. I have 90 percent of them.

The Kenner Aliens surrounding two Kenner Predators.

The Kaiyodo Revotech Queen.

This is the only Neca one I have.

So maybe for a birthday or Christmas I will get one Hot Toys figure. I can only hope although this Christmas is excluded. Bye!
