Grandparents and the canal

Hie. Today I'm gonna talk about my grandparents. Also the canal.



So on Thursday Grandma and Grandad came over. They came at 4:00 and mom came at 5 and later we went to a resteraunt called Fat Tuesday's. It's a New Orleans style restaurant and I got my favorite meal so far there. It's a jumbo shrimp po boy. A po boy is a sub type sandwich from New Orleans and mine had Shrimp in it. I liked the shrimp better because it only had a thin layer of breading on it unlike buffalo wild wings when you can barley taste the shrimp. You could also really taste the ocean inside the shrimp.


On Friday Katie stayed home from school. She and Grandma worked on the garden outback. When I got home I mowed the front yard, side yard, and back yard for the second time by myself. When I was finished grandma made a awesome dinner with pork, garlic bread, green beans, and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was the best because she always puts on a thick layer of cheese on the top. After we had cheesecake and watched Sherlock Holmes, a game of shadows. It was really good.



On Saturday we got up and started biking on the canal with our grandparents. This time we went farther up the canal. Which I liked much better because there's a whole lot more to see and mess around with. We saw a old mill, a lockeepers house, and a whole lot more nature too. After we went to a pizza place in Maryland and me, my mom, and Alex shared a crab meat pizza. At dinner we had a really good grilled steak, rice, and cheesy cauliflower cooked by Mom. We were not starving this weekend.



It had to end though. So now I'm writing this after grandma and granddad left on Saturday. Check out Sherlock Holmes too because I think it was better than the first movie. Bye!

Mission Impossible

Hi peoples today I'm gonna do a movie review. It is on the first mission impossible. Here it goes.



Last night we watched the first Mission Impossible movie. My sister, and my parents watched it with me. If you haven't heard of it it is a movie based off of an old tv show. It is a movie about a spy named Ethan. The actor is Tom Cruise.



It has a lot of action in it. It starts out with an agent named Jim who gets his mission on a plane. He puts together the mission impossible team and starts a mission. (Spoiler alert) But the plan goes wrong and soon everybody except Ethan dies in Prague. Soon he meets up with his contact and he finds out it was a mole hunt.



From there on he has to find the mole and stop the weapons dealer they are working with. Katie rates it on a scale of 1-10 a 9. I rate it a 7. So far Katie's favorite is Tremors. My top 3 are the Thing, Changeling, and Die Hard.



So mission impossible was really good. Maybe I'll watch the sequels too. Bye!

Planet of the Apes!

Hi peoples! Next up my spring break movie marathon. First up Planet of the Apes!






So recently I saw the oldest Planet of the apes and the newer 2001 version. First I'll tell you about the first movie. The first movie had a good plot that had action and just the right amount of mystery and creepiness. It started with their spaceship crashing on the unknown planet in nearly the year 4000. Only 3 men survived and soon the main character is thrust into a awesome battle with the rest of the native humans semi intelligent and mute for the truth and freedom for the human race.





Now for the second movie. The second movie started with a society much more advanced and the main character takes a one man ship into a electromagnetic storm. He crashes into the jungle and is soon caught in a slave raid by the apes. A girl ape finds him and sees his intelligence and buys him with a girl. Soon they escape into the jungle to find the truth.


So in conclusion I like the first movie better. Which I admit surprised me. For one thing I liked the terrain better which was the woods instead of the jungle but I guess it did make more sense for apes to be in the jungle. Also I didn't like how they changed it so much like the first movie was to good to change so much. The apes in the first movie were also more advanced with guns and crossbows. Also in the second movie the native humans could talk and were a bit smarter making that more like African Americans being slaves than having humans who actually acted like apes in the first movie. More ever the girl in the second movie almost never talked to him and then randomly kissed him in the end. Also the costumes in the second movie were better but somehow the costumes in the first movie were scarier. Lastly I liked the ending much better. I think having the hero find out the past in front of the wrecked statue of liberty is better than a goofy ending that didn't make much sense ( I won't spoil it ). Not to say it was bad just could of been better.



So I hope you see the planet of the apes. It really makes you think about today's society. Maybe I'll even see the movies after the first one and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Bye!

Epoch

Today I'm reviewing a game. It's called Epoch. It is about robots fighting each other.










So recently me and my sister have been begging my mom and dad for iPads. Luckily I called firsts. That's right I have an iPad maw ha ha!! But I really paid my dad 200 bucks for his old one.

I play epoch on the iPad. Epoch is post apocalyptic warfare between robots. Supposedly the world ended because it's present day but there's lots of robots for bodyguards and even butlers. So suddenly the omega tronics brand started fighting the guardian brand and shooting Down humans in the crossfire without caring. So you're the robot.

Here's enemies weakest to strongest.












You reboot but you don't know how long you've been out. All you're memory files are there except one. You're mission is to find Princess Amelia. I'm guessing she is a princess somewhere in europe but it doesn't tell you. You are probably the only working robot.



You are a guardian. She is in the cryo tower in the other side of the city. So you have to fight you're way there. You can buy different guns like an machine gun, a laser gun, a grenade launcher, a acid gun... You can also buy grenades, missiles, and special powers.


So I hope you buy. It it's fast paced, you can doge behind barriers and target enemies. Bye!
