So I love to collect Aliens and other horror figures, Predators, Terminator, etc. Unfortunately you cannot find any of those at Target so for my birthday my Dad took me to the New York Comic Con. There we got many awesome things ranging from a plush chest burster to a highly detailed bloody Terminator action figure and back to a Sasquatch from show dad watched as a kid called Six Million Dollar Man.
We got up at 4:00 in the morning to head out. I slept until around 8:00. Afterwards I had a power bar to have energy. Then we listened to a cool podcast called Comic Dorks. They were funny and talked about comics from DC and Marvel to more independent comics. Soon we paused that as we headed into New York City. We looked at scenery first. After we looked for the Javitz Center which was where it was being held. Then we spent a while looking for parking and we had to walk a few blocks but by the time we got there the line was super short and we got in easily.
One of the first things that happened was me being in a power loader fighting a Alien. You see I was on the main level where you come in and I saw a huge statue of it upstairs. So I rushed upstairs with dad somewhere behind me. I got a free Aliens comic book and watched the new game preview for the upcoming game and then stood in line. The line was pretty long and I noticed how I was the only 13 year old Aliens fan. So you got in it and if you've ever seen Aliens you now how you fit in it. It's basically a suit of armor. Nothing moved though, it was a statue. Once I was in the photographer pushed a button and the alien started screeching and hidden cameras starting taking pictures. Afterward we went in the dealer's room. When you first got in it was just companies showing a product including Lego, DC, and video game companies. In the back were all the dealers. That's where I got everything. I got an aliens vs predator 2 pack, the deluxe king alien, a plush chest burster, 5 other Kenner aliens, and a terminator. Dad got some hot wheels cars, some Bionic man toys, and a t shirt. Lastly we found a artist friend of dads that had a really cool comic called Ace Killroy you should see.
Around 3:30 we met My Aunt Robin. She also has a blog called Made in Brooklyn. She came with my cousin Andrew and we gave him and Isaac an Aquaman and a Thing. We ate at TGI Fridays. Then we left.
So I had a lot of fun at the Comic Con. Today Alex and me played together with them. Bye!!
