On Saturday my grandfather came to take me to his house for a week. The next day he and I decided to go hiking. We were going to go spring hills in virginia. But he couldn't find it. So we went to see the potomac river.
We saw the Virginian Side of it. First we came and saw a tiny canal. There was a family playing in it. Next we saw a really big picnic area. Then we went into a museum with gift shops and stuff.
The river was really cool you could see the rapids. And it smelled almost like the ocean.
You you see people on the other side too. The water sprayed in my face. I even saw a heron on a rock.
So that was really fun. I'll have fun with my grandparents. Bye!
